Musings
October has been action packed. Here's some pictures....
We started October off right doing Halloween crafts (and apparently wearing our Halloween costumes a month early)
Had after school treats at Baskin Robbins and a scary incident where Landon's tooth almost went through his lip.
Had a very handsome date at Olive Garden with our "Pasta Passes" for dinner. Our first of many Landon & mommy dinner dates.
Had another treat after the park and played on the playground at church one Sunday.
Took Landon bowling for his first time! My mom came with us also and we had a BLAST! Landon beat us all both games. (He may have had help with the bumpers and "dinosaur launcher") Landon loved bowling so much he keeps asking to go again and if he can have his own "number 7 bowling ball" to keep at home. Bless his heart:)
We went to the top of Mt. Lemmon for a family hike and enjoyed the cool weather and scenery. We made it surprisingly far up the mountain before Landon had had enough walking uphill. So we stopped had a quick lunch and made our own trail back down the ski slope we found as a shortcut back to the bottom.
We finished our cabinets and got granite countertops installed Yay!! Dale and I went to an amazing concert at our church. It was for Rend Collection, and Irish Christian band, and it was the best concert Dale or I have EVER been to! They are my new favorite.
Dale's sister, Christy, married her prince charming on the 9th and it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding. Landon also had the opportunity to be a ring bearer! I cant wait to see more pictures of the bride and groom, unfortunately all I have are these for the time being.
Landon and I made a "spooky" gingerbread haunted house for Halloween. Dale and I snuck in a date night and Landon and I had a beautiful lunch date at AJ's.
We went to see Disney on Ice!! It was wonderful! Landon had a hard time appreciating it...until he got a ring pop and sat in mommy's lap :). He also got sick and did some laying around on the couch. And I made a "boo breakfast", a variety of halloween themed cereal with various things we stuck on a skewer, dipped in yogurt and rolled in the cereal. Like breakfast fondue! I love pinterest :)
Our car was hit in the Target parking lot and had a note stuck on the windshield. After speaking with the elderly woman, surveying the minimal damage, and praying, we decided not to file a claim with her insurance. I made spooky halloween treats in push pops which was met with rave reviews. And Landon and daddy made their own haunted house.
Landon was daddy's helper puting up new lighting around the house and we had a playdate with Landon's best friend Luke at Peter Piper Pizza.
It came time for our annual pilgrimage to the Marana Pumpkin Patch! Needless to say it was a hit!
The highlight was this...Landon asked if he could do the giant zipline and after checking its height requirement we let him try it. He was so brave! He climbed right up the stairs himself and gave it a go without any hesitation. I asked the guys working about the youngest age of kid they've had go down the zipline and Landon was the only 3 year old brave enough to do it! Or the only one tall enough :) He smiled the whole way and got to do it 2 times!
Landon just loves Halloween so much that I've tried to make things extra special around here with Halloween breakfast's and Halloween cookies!
We've had an awesome and busy few weeks! Im tired just looking at all the pictures! And we're getting very excited for Halloween coming up.
